"In an English Country Garden"

It's Mum's birthday today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM!!

Thank goodness for phones and skype and email,
it makes the distance between Australia and England not quite so great.

So specially for Mum I thought I would share with you some more photos I took in July of the flowers in Mum's lovely garden.
Sit back, relax - Mum's done the weeding :) - feel the warm breeze that carries the sound of  the birds singing in the trees, and the bees flitting from flower to flower. Smell the beautiful perfume of roses, stocks, and wallflowers.

It's a kaleidoscope of beautiful colours, shapes, textures and perfumes!
Mum's garden is just like her -Beautiful.

Have a lovely day Mum, and hope the weather is kind to you
so that you can get out into your lovely garden.

    1. Thanks for the birthday wishes to Mum, Tess:) I must say I love my new camera which my family gave to me for my recent "special" birthday! It is a Fuji F770 exr. Lots to learn, but it's a lot easier when the subject matter is so lovely. Bye for now Jane

    1. Thanks Dyani. As I said to Tess, it helps when you have beautiful flowers to photograph:) I have mainly been using the auto settings, but need to venture into the manual when I can get my head around it!

    1. Thank you for your lovely words. Mum did have a lovely birthday, with lots and lots of phone calls, which left no time for weeding! Hope you have a lovely week too:)

  6. Dear Jane,
you took so lovely photos of your mother's garden: she will have been pleased! I looked at those flowers and can see her garden in my mind: beautiful. The evening primrose is a special star: before moving to Berlin (=balcony) we sat in our big garden and had "cinema live" when they enrolled their petals in slow motion.
    Happy you are on Berlinletters.blogspot.de!

    1. Hi Brigitta. So pleased that you can see the garden in your mind's eye. You are right, evening primrose really is a star in the garden. Here in this part of Australia it is liable to go a bit crazy, but in England it is checked by the cold weather. I look forward to following your new blog:) Cheers Jane
