I seem to keep on starting
I guess it's better than stopping
It's just that I start and stop
and can't seem to keep going

ReplyDeleteWhat am I doing at present? Well, we're suffering in bitter cold temperatures under a blanket of ice! Only a wee snow fall, then sleet and ice closing down everything since Monday. We've been reminded this is a life-threatening
situation coming tonight (see the newspaper in my post today!), much, much colder than we've had in many years. I feel so bad for the wildlife and tiny creatures, though perhaps most of them know how to hide somewhere warmer. The homeless people are often not as smart and think they can survive - tomorrow will tell!
Roll on Spring - I usually like Winter however am changing my mind after this long, cold one! Maybe age has something to do with it too!

Funnily enough Mary, that flower is actually a stunted buddleia or aptly named butterfly bush. I agree, it looks just like a verbena!
DeleteOh dear, poor you with all that biting cold to deal with. I agree with you, as I get older I like things nice and temperate, not too hot, not too cold! We can't always have what we want though can we, and at present we are at the tail end of a cyclone which is battering the Queensland coast. Not a problem for us, but certainly not good for them. DeleteIt's the starting and stopping that makes a life! Connect, retreat, share, replenish... I had to accept after my first year of blogging that'll I'll never be anything more than a deciduous blogger. My creative rythmns need a lot of living and input for a wee bit of output, but that feels OK to me.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you keep blogging; your blog has such a lovely feel - grace, charm and warmth... and your photos are stunning! It's like having a wee holiday when I visit blogs like yours with glorious photos that take me to exotic places or help me see my own back door with new eyes.
I've spent the last two weeks battling technological challenges. For years now I've known what layout and font changes I want to make and have had new fonts uploaded, waiting...but they won't play nicely with my theme. And keeping things clean and simple seems to take an awful lot of plugins! On good days it's fun, though...but on bad days, it would be so easy to succumb to blog envy.
I love that name, deciduous blogger! It describes me perfectly too Janice. You have managed, through your generous words, to make me feel proud instead of apologetic for my comings and goings.....thank you! I do hope you cope with your tech troubles, and definitely we could all succumb to blog envy, but that's where lovely comments like yours and everyone's here, lift us up and keep us afloat till next time.

DeleteI love these sunny pictures, especially the thistle picture is a beauty. And what are we doing here........we had a mild winter, that means wet, dull and dreary days. However the last few days sun is shining and spring is in the air, snowdrops, crocuses are coming out and I am much more active, started cleaning the garden for spring, but for tomorrow the weather forecast is rain and wind.....
