Some days are Diamonds, some days are Gold!

Yesterday was the last day of June, and for us in Australia, the last day of the financial year.  Well I'm thinking that the signs are all good for the coming year because the day was truly gold!

Sundown brought golden clouds dancing across the sky

The evening sun shone on the underside of a little moth settled on my kitchen window.

And the ripples of water on the dam fairly gleamed!
It was a golden day indeed, but sadly short lived because today has been, grey, grey grey!!

They say bad things come in threes ~  I think good things do too!

 How about you?

  2. Jane, these photos are amazingly gorgeous - you definitely have a love affair going with your camera!!! You live in such a beauteous place too................makes me really want to come back and spend a lot more time in Australia - it's vastness and the natural beauty is so varied.........I want to take pictures of it ALL!

If only you weren't so far away, sigh!

Enjoy each day, even the grey ones.
    Hugs - Mary

  3. These photos are really beautiful - the moth so delicate and wonderful gold-spun. Three is a fairy number - and about grey days I think: the show us how fine the golden ones are.

    1. A fairy number, Britta, that's interesting. I like the idea that grey days show us how fine the golden ones are. So very true.

  5. Stunning photos! A change in direction is always a good move creatively. When juggling too many balls I find the first one to drop is the housework. It's surprising how soon you stop noticing the dust and cobwebs :)

    1. Oh yes, dust and cobwebs have a funny way of always being there, however diligent you are Naida! Thank you for your kind words of support.

  6. I learned many things from my mother, but how she saw color and was forever thankful for the gift of color always remains with me.

  8. Beautiful images esp of the moth - I'm a point and shoot kinda gal but with the strong sunshine this week, it's a challenge - we're just not used to it here!

    1. Ha! That's funny Lorna, but I'm sure you will enjoy getting used to the sunshine over there at last! Have a great summer, however long or short it is.
