Yesterday was the last day of June, and for us in Australia, the last day of the financial year. Well I'm thinking that the signs are all good for the coming year because the day was truly gold!
Sundown brought golden clouds dancing across the sky |
The evening sun shone on the underside of a little moth settled on my kitchen window. |
And the ripples of water on the dam fairly gleamed! |
They say bad things come in threes ~ I think good things do too!
How about you?
gorgeous photos Jane :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Vickie. I look forward to coming and paying you a visit on your blog. Your photos are something else :))
DeleteJane, these photos are amazingly gorgeous - you definitely have a love affair going with your camera!!! You live in such a beauteous place too................makes me really want to come back and spend a lot more time in Australia - it's vastness and the natural beauty is so varied.........I want to take pictures of it ALL!
ReplyDeleteIf only you weren't so far away, sigh!
Enjoy each day, even the grey ones.
Hugs - Mary
There are way too many beautiful places in the world aren't there Mary, and not enough time! Thanks for your lovely comments,Jane :))
DeleteThese photos are really beautiful - the moth so delicate and wonderful gold-spun. Three is a fairy number - and about grey days I think: the show us how fine the golden ones are.
ReplyDeleteA fairy number, Britta, that's interesting. I like the idea that grey days show us how fine the golden ones are. So very true.
DeleteWonderful golden day, so precious. Hope the grey will turn to silver and gold again.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Amelie. The grey did change and who knows what today will bring but it's looking very pretty to me! Hope all is well with you too.
DeleteStunning photos! A change in direction is always a good move creatively. When juggling too many balls I find the first one to drop is the housework. It's surprising how soon you stop noticing the dust and cobwebs :)
ReplyDeleteOh yes, dust and cobwebs have a funny way of always being there, however diligent you are Naida! Thank you for your kind words of support.
DeleteI learned many things from my mother, but how she saw color and was forever thankful for the gift of color always remains with me.
ReplyDeleteYou post of gold is just sparkling and filled with delight and memories! Lovely!
Hello Deb, I apologise, I must have missed your comment, and only just published it. What lovely memories of your mother's insights and how nice of you to share them with us here.
DeleteGorgeously golden photos!
ReplyDeleteGee thanks Patsy, so glad you enjoyed them!
DeleteThanks for commuting on my blog and your hair looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteWell thank you for visiting my blog too, and so glad you approve :)
DeleteBeautiful images esp of the moth - I'm a point and shoot kinda gal but with the strong sunshine this week, it's a challenge - we're just not used to it here!
ReplyDeleteHa! That's funny Lorna, but I'm sure you will enjoy getting used to the sunshine over there at last! Have a great summer, however long or short it is.
DeleteI love your photos, Jane, especially the one with the butterfly. I am going to say this again - you are lucky to live in such a gorgeous part of the country :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I am going to say this again Cassie ~ thank you for the nice things you say, and I agree, we are very lucky to live where we live. :) Jane
