It hasn't been THAT long.........has it?

Surely it isn't that long since I posted here on my blog?!!

Been a wonderful and busy couple of months of family visitors from here and overseas, and weddings too.  Now things are getting back to normal  (if there is such a thing!) so I'm hoping to share stuff with you once again!

Now that I look back, it really has been a while, and our Willy Wagtail family has grown.....

from this....

to this....

and........to this!!

Oh how time flies!

What have you been up to in the last couple of months?  I'd love to hear.

  1. were they in a garage or ...? Nest, beautifully made seems to be on a shelf and the eggs are lovely too. Wonderfully seeing them being reared, the willie-wag-tails are a delight

    1. Hi Carole, you are right, the nest was in our carport, so it was easily accessible for us and for the birds! They are such a cheeky bird aren't they?

  2. Hi Jane, These little birds are adorable . . . they make me hungry for Spring :)
The truth is everything makes me hungry for Spring, LOL.

I've been going through some of your past posts and found your Easter Egg Potatoes,
I missed seeing that post, last year. They look so pretty and delicious, too.
    I'll be trying them, soon.

It is so good to see you back, and absoluteness wonderful to hear that you have been having "Good Times" with family and friends. I was afraid that you were sick and unable to blog.

Here's to you and your family . . . it is great to have you back :)

    1. Thanks so very much Connie. I am looking forward to dropping by your lovely blog again. I just have to be strict with myself as I have a lot of catching up on farm accounts etc. to do. I am glad you reminded me about those Easter Egg Potatoes, just at the right time. Enjoy your impending Spring. Hopefully it will be in full flight by Easter!
      Bye for now Jane:)

  3. Dear Jane,
great that you are back! I think that's life: sometimes one has time - sometimes one doesn't. No stress by that. And, as we can see on your beautiful photos: real life is so fascinating that one sometimes don't find the time to post about it. And then the result - from egg to feeded swallows - is stunning!

    1. Thanks so much Steve! It's good to be in touch again. We only grow spuds in our veggie patch now, so it's no big deal. I've been busy with family visitors which is much more fun than spud picking!

  7. Hi Jane! How are you?
This is so wonderful...it reminds me of last year, when we rented a little place in San Diego, and there was a dove nest right by the door, in a flower pot. We did not want to scare her, so we had to crawl in and out...I have no idea if those 2 eggs turned into birds though.
I have birdhouses in the backyard, but I also have cats...I guess they are smart enough to not rent my birdhouses!

    1. Hi Zila! I'm fine and it's lovely to hear from you. I love the story of your doves and also I can see why you have no birds renting your bird houses! Cats make lovely pets but they do not go well with little birds do they? However I am sure there are two more doves flying around San Diego now:) Cheers Jane
