How's your week been?
Two of my grandchildren had birthdays this week,
so we have had some wonderful family time.
But in between I've been trying to see in a different way.
Looking as if seeing things for the first time.
Appreciating patterns, shapes and the space between.
It's surprising what you see when you look through different eyes, isn't it?
Bye for now
You are so right Jane, children do help us see things anew. Beautiful set of late-winter photos.
ReplyDeleteThank you Karen, it's good to see simply isn't it?
DeleteIt is surprising! What an inspiring landscape - it would be fantastic to sit and paint it. (I can't paint so that's pure fantasy.)
ReplyDeleteNever say you can't paint Anne...we can all paint...or so they say! Me, I'd rather paint with a camera :)
DeleteGood perspective!
ReplyDeleteYes, it's good to see things from other angles isn't it Sandi.
DeleteJane you are a real artist. Every one of photos gladdens the heart.
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm so glad you enjoyed them Zsuza!
DeleteBeautiful, since I have s
ReplyDeleteTaken up painting, I look at things differently, I wonder how much I have missed over the years with just looking not seeing.
Painting and photography, any creative art I suppose, really help you to see things and I don't think we've missed anything...it's still there waiting for us!
DeleteOh gorgeous! Love the patterns, the light, the up close pics
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Erin! It's good to have a look at the dull stuff again in a different light isn't it?
DeleteIt´s always a delight to see your photos, your really have an eye for the small and beautiful, love it.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate your generous words Janneke, thank you.
DeleteWhat I like about photography is thy it makes me stop and look at the world in detail.
ReplyDeleteOh so true Joan Elizabeth. We really have to slow down to notice, even when on walks like you.
DeleteGorgeous pics Jane - I especially love the last one with the reflections in the water - you certainly have a good eye for detail.
ReplyDeleteThat last one reminds me of long permed hair Elaine! Just like you, I enjoy what is around me.
DeleteDear Jane,
ReplyDeleteYou're amazing. Through your eyes, your contry is of stunning beauty, the contry of dreams and fairytales.
What a beautiful description Amélie - I am glad you have reminded me of this because today all I can see is the weeds and the work that has to be done. I will carry your words with me and that will give me great encouragement - thank you so much.
DeleteIt seems that everything here in California is the color of summer, very vibrant and ready to harvest or just bone dry. Your photos of sky and water remind me that winter will come, colors will change and so will we. All the blue is grounding for me!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're enjoying the blue here, and so interesting to imagine you there with the summer colours perhaps of wheat and barley ripening? I'm not sure. Will pop over to your blog to check Deb.
DeleteAbsolutely gorgeous images. I rather like this time of year.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sophia. I agree, every season has something special to offer.
DeleteI like the idea of looking as if seeing things for the first time, Jane, and you've seen a lot of beauty.
ReplyDeleteAmalia

Oh thank you Amalia, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
DeleteOh Jane these are mesmerizing images especially the first few and the last...I agree changing our perspective is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThank you Donna, it's good to see things in new ways isn't it? I like that last one too!

ReplyDeleteGlad you noticed Kerry!

ReplyDeleteMany similarities the world over Catherine, and thank you! x
