Perfection ~ who needs it? Just enjoy the day.

I've been waiting for the perfect time, the perfect photo, the perfect thought to start back in on my blog again after 2, 3, 4, what surely not nearly 5 months absence?!!
But instead I'm jumping right in with today ~ for better for worse.

Started with a misty morning

Oh Rosemary I love you

Move to late afternoon after a 'nothing is going right' sort of day

Decided to look for the positives amidst the negatives...bee in the weeds

This spider is happily thriving here!

Out cutting and spraying weeds ~ always hard to keep up ~ but something catches my eye

Shadows as the sun goes down

It wasn't perfect...but it wasn't half bad either!

I wish for you a day that is full of light and shadow
~
Would really love to hear about yours!

  1. Happy you 'jumped back in' today Jane - have missed your stories from far away!
These shots are gorgeous - love the scenery, landscapes and skies, and the busy bee among the thistles.

I decided to start walking early mornings today - just set the alarm, hopped into appropriate clothing and headed out in the dark. It was beautiful at dawn, the birdsong loud and melodious, the gardens showing golden daffodils and purple crocus scattered under trees, our Spring IS starting to appear at long last after such a long, cold Winter. Back home I filled the bird feeders, sat on the front porch with my wake up coffee, and then toured the garden noting all the work required in the coming months!!!!

Lovely to know all is well with you - please continue to share your lovely corner of Australia with us - you know it's one of my favorites places and I long to return some day.

    Hugs - Mary

    1. Thank you so much Mary. I agree, early mornings are a wonderful time of day for a walk, but I have to admit I like/need my coffee before, not after! Your Spring sounds delicious, and lucky little birdies. Bye for now, Jane

    1. Thank you Zsuzsa! I've just noticed I didn't crop the rosemary photo properly, but I am resisting the temptation to go back and get it just right!

  3. I'm so happy you're back here. And with such images! Each one is a jewel (impossible to decide which one is my favourite). The shadow of the tree! the mist! the bee! ... I marvel at all. It was really worth waiting 5 months. Thank you.

  5. Dear Jane,
I'm glad to see you back again!
Perfection - it really hinders to show good things - as your beautiful photos are - and then, with every day, it becomes more difficult ("What when they don't like this post?" "Maybe someone thinks it is foolish" E.g. I wanted to delete my last post, didn't, and now there are many comments.) Often one is surprised what people love and what not - and perfection is not always what people want.

  6. Dear Brigitta, thank you! You are so right ~ we worry and over-think things, and in the end none of us is perfect, and that is what is so great!
