I am an impulse blogger not an organised one, and today's post would not be one I would plan for....it just worked out that way. You see I looked back over my last week or so's photos and found a theme running through ~ yes you got it ~ PINK !! So ready or not here goes....
|
The mornings have been misty |
|
I love to venture out even though it's a bit dark |
|
You see things you never expected ~ like this spider...ok so I admit it... I didn't see it either till it was on my computer! |
|
Bee holding on to waratah leaf for all it's worth! |
|
Ching! |
|
I parked underneath this tree to take a photo of a view which turned out to be ...not worth it....but this galah was worth every penny! |
|
We've had some rain and everyone's happy....specially the roses |
|
This fungi was a totally unexpected treat ~ serendipity? |
|
Can't beat a sunny geranium at sundown! |
You either love pink...or you used to love it and now not so sure can't bear it!
Where do you stand? Let me know!
Hello Jane,
ReplyDeleteWhat a delicious pink confection you offer your readers today!
And, how we love the Cerise pink of the last picture. An arresting colour, certainly, but one which really draws the eye and makes one look harder. We used it to great effect in garden borders as it really made other plants sing out!
Hello Jane and Lance, nothing like a singing garden border to really brighten your day ~ sounds wonderful!
DeleteJane, these shots are wonderful! I especially find the white fungus and the pink bird interesting. In fact the white fungus reminds me of a school of jelly fish, they looks so whimsical and fairy tale like.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day and happy late Mother's Day wishes :)
Connie :)
Thanks so much Connie! Glad you enjoyed the fungi and our lovely pink galah.
DeleteI love pink in nature. But I can't stand pink unless it's alive.
ReplyDeleteLong live pink then Zsuzsa!
DeleteI love pink, but honestly speeking I love all the colours in the garden. Beautiful pictures with all kinds of pinks, but most beautiful are the parrots.
ReplyDeleteYes there's something special about a pink parrot isn't there Janneke? When I came here from England I just couldn't believe my eyes!
DeleteI am one of the ones who love it - especially in the garden. Lovely pics - the Galar in particular.
ReplyDeleteWell that's lovely Elaine, and I must admit I enjoy pink too ( just don't tell my daughter!!)
DeleteDear Jane,
ReplyDeleteI love pink, especially the soft or cool pinks like the one in your beautiful rose-photo.
So glad you love it Brigitta....I do too!
DeleteBeautiful photos as ever, Jane.
ReplyDeleteI love the fungi and yes, I can take pink : )
Well that's good to hear Tess! And glad you enjoyed the fungi too...I was pretty chuff to come upon them.
DeleteHi.Jane, had been wandering in the garden here this evening, and my First Love rose is showing off her beautiful pink blooms. Now I find your lovely pink photos. Love them.
ReplyDeleteOh that's lovely, your First Love sounds gorgeous :)
DeleteHow beautiful these images are Jane. I feel pink is a colour that when those who love it simply cannot get enough. My recent two commissions have asked me to put pink roses and spring green leaves in the painting.
ReplyDeleteYou are a trend setter
Have a lovely weekend
Helenx
A trend setter Helen? I need to go and tell my children ~ they will be amazed !! Thank you so much and your clients obviously have good taste :))
DeleteLove love love "bokeh" as they call it. Makes for such atmosphere......and yes who can resist PINK!!
ReplyDeleteI learned the name from you Catherine! And I have to admit that pink is growing and glowing on me!
DeleteOh wow! I've never seen a pink parrot (?) before! Is that real? Really? Pink? I've seen other colors, but pink...nope. She is so pretty and all the flowers as well...that rose is gorgeous. Australia is a place I need to visit.
ReplyDeleteAustralia would love to welcome you for a visit any time Zila, and I'll make sure there is a pink galah ( yes they are a cockatoo, which in turn is a parrot ) there to greet you! They are actually quite common throughout Aus.
