I can see both sides!

Hello there one and all!
Today I am showcasing a reversible potato necklace.
My daughter liked it so much that I decided to give it to her.
She wears it a lot and it looks really good on her!
Following on you'll see just some of the things around me
which have inspired the colours of both sides of this adjustable,
 bold and lightweight neck-piece.

Thank you for taking a peek into the things I do and what inspires them.
I imagine you have similar stories to tell.
Is there something recently that has influenced your creative pursuits?
A beautiful sky perhaps, or the colour of the sea?
Would love to hear about it!

    1. Thank you so much Rowan:) I think taking photos really helps you to see and appreciate the beauty of a place. We are sometimes liable to take our own surroundings for granted.

  5. My sister-in-law gave birth recently to a beautiful baby boy and he is very pink when we visited him yesterday with my parents. You are very creative and your daughter must be proud to wear the necklace her mom created with love all the time. Take care :)

  6. Jane you are so creative and those birds are such a great inspiration. I am wondering if they are native to your area of Australia. Incredible colors.

    1. Hi Steve. Yes these Rosellas and Wrens are both common where we live. The Rosella's are a medium sized parrot. The wrens are a tiny bird. The male is the brightly coloured showy one! The female is just a dull brown though still cute:)

    1. Glad you like the necklace Mel! I agree that they are so versatile. I did one which had tangerine on one side and aqua on the other and the edges and cord were black. I reckon it was two for the price of one!

  13. I love the way the muted side looks, how beautiful. Lately I've been inspired by islands and the tropics. It's heavily influenced the colour palette in our home at the moment!

  14. Dear Jane,
the colours are so lovely - both sides, and just the 'cool' sort of colours I wear. To make jewellery out of potatoes is a stunning idea. Creativity (besides writing an translating, photographing and cooking): I started drawing again. Great joy.
