Potato Portraits - Incredible Art!

I just had to share these fantastic Potato Portraits from Ginou Chioueiri
with you all today. Prepare to be amazed!

Do you see anyone you know?!

Incredible aren't they? And they are from Ginou Choueiri who describes herself as an interdisciplinary artist currently based in Beirut, Lebanon.

PS.
In fact many of her potato faces are indeed people we know, and I suggest you take a look at her website and see what I am talking about:)

  1. Presumably they'll quickly become withered and wrinkled - just like real people. Amazing is the word.

    1. Hi again Kirsty. I have had a look at some shorts for the Gleaners movie and it looks really interesting. And the mutatoes is fascinating too! Very true where they intro it by stating that we have got used to vegetables being uniform and exactly the same as the next one, and the next one and so on.

  6. Hi Kirsty, just took a look at your potato gnocchi post. Wow you have got some beaut shaped potatoes there! Love all the photos of the gnocchi-making action, and an interesting comment from "ecocatlady", whose grandmother was Italian, giving full details of the process. I made it years ago but will definitely have to give it another go! Thanks for letting me know. Here for others interested is the link to Kirsty's post.http://landcare.blogspot.com.au/2012/05/potato-gnocchi.html
